Chasity Hunter was recently named one of Gambit’s 40 under 40!

Chasity Hunter is a YA poet and a current student at the University of New Orleans. She is passionate about racial justice and water-related issues.  Her work in poetry and performance began when she attended Bard Early College (2015) and she continues to write and share her work around her hometown of New Orleans.

Chasity Hunter is the protagonist of Station 15 and a creative collaborator on the film. Hunter is now a student at the University of New Orleans. She has worked with Young Women With A Vision, Ripple Effect, and 826 New Orleans. She recently spoke at a United Nations Climate Summit affiliate event with the World Wildlife Fund and Teen Vogue.

Chasity currently works as a teacher at Bard Early College of New Orleans and interns with the Water Leadership Pilot program affiliated with  Ripple Effect and Water Works New Orleans.
